Free Style snowboards typically mean true twin (the same length in the nose and tail of the snowboard) or slightly set back typical called twin directional. Twin Directional snowboards are usually about 1/2 inch to 1 inch. While these style snowboards can have all different types of flex, typically if you weight less you will gravitate toward a softer board. If you are a heavier rider or more aggressive you will typically gravitate toward a stiffer free style snowboard. Also, keep in mind that if you never touch the park but ride a lot of switch or like to hit natural features, a free style snowboard could be the board you're looking for.
